I began my educational consulting career over 30 years ago, working in public and private high schools, as well as with homeschoolers, in California’s Sierra Nevada foothills. While I deeply value and believe in public education, I had a caseload of over 600 seniors at my last public high school, which meant I could not provide the individualized attention each student deserved. Desiring to focus solely on guiding my students through the college application process, I became a pioneer in the field of independent college admissions counseling when I started CAS in 2002. Since that initial leap of faith, I have branched out to include specific services such as athletic recruitment, military academy admissions, and specialty graduate schools such as medical, business, and law.

I have served as one of fifteen members of the College Counselors Advisory Group to the Fiske Guide to Colleges, and regularly attend conferences of The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). The collegiate connections I have developed over the decades profoundly benefit my clients, as does my dedication to staying on top of the ever changing trends in college admissions. I pass this knowledge on to my clients and work with each one individually to ensure they remain a step ahead in the competitive admissions landscape.
